I read and researched the three-day potty training method and was on-board with it...until mid-morning that first Saturday. Trying to look after a rambunctious three-year old little boy, as well as a newborn, and then trying to clean up "accidents" was not going to happen for sanity purposes! Selfish reasoning, I know. So, after accident number two AG wore pull-ups. She wore those for about a week or two, but within those weeks she woke up dry! I bought some underwear and she immediately wanted to wear them. She only had a few accidents and loved putting stickers on her reward chart when she went in the potty.
Last night Michael and I were in the living room, and around 9:15 Ava poked around the corner with a smile on her face, and walked out with her pajamas in her hand-wearing nothing but panties. She had taken off her pullup (which she was wearing at night) and said "no more pullups". She was adamant that she was not putting the pullup back on, and wore her underwear to bed. She woke up dry in the morning and went potty. So now she is in underwear 24-7. I'm so proud of my little girl!
